
Courts Programs
The Court Program assists those appearing in Provincial Criminal Docket Courts in Edmonton, Stony Plain, St. Albert, Morinville, Sherwood Park, Fort Saskatchewan, Wetaskiwin, Camrose, Ponoka, Red Deer, and Fort McMurray.
Staff and volunteers:
explain court procedures and terminology
provide legal referrals
provide Return to Court Date Cards
offer practical assistance and emotional support to those appearing in court, as well as their family and friends
help navigate the justice system
CAFFY (Court Assistants for Female Youth) is an initiative within the Youth Court Program, matching volunteers to act as mentors and positive supports to young women who are involved in the Youth Court System.
SCAP (Satellite Court Assistance Program) provides enhanced court support and mentorship opportunities for women in the above-listed rural communities.
