Tax Support and Financial Empowerment Program

The Tax Support and Financial Empowerment Program fosters self-worth and financial stability through free group workshops and personalized individual support. By breaking down barriers to essential resources, this program helps marginalized individuals and families in Central to Northern Alberta, including surrounding rural communities confidently navigate their financial journeys.

Through our partnership with United Way and Prosper Canada, we offer reliable assistance with basic annual income tax filings, including multi-year catch-up filing to unlock vital backdated government benefits (Child Tax Benefits, GST/HST, Alberta Child & Family Benefit. Alongside tax services, participants gain access to practical one-on-one budgeting coaching, debt reduction strategies, and goal-setting tools designed to reduce financial stress and help them thrive.

Our program runs throughout the year and is highly adaptable to community needs. We warmly welcome inquiries from individuals looking for support, as well as community partners interested in bringing mobile financial literacy or tax workshops directly to rural communities within our regions.

To book an appointment, request a workshop for your area, or discuss a community partnership, please fill out our contact form below to connect directly with our program coordinator.

"I was years behind on my taxes and terrified of the paperwork. The EFry tax team treated me with zero judgment, helped me catch up, and unlocked thousands in backdated Child Benefits I didn't even know I was missing. It changed everything for my family.”
